Frequently Asked Questions
Where do you provide services?
Services are mostly provided in the home and community setting. The reason is because I feel it is most important to teach skills in a real life setting instead of a clinic setting.
What ages do you see?
The majority of children I see are 2-15 years old. I have consulted with infants and older teenagers requiring support with sensory processing, feeding and social skills.
How do you make an appointment?
Send us an email at email@example.com and we will schedule a 20-minute no fee phone call to discuss your goals. Once you've determined if I am the right fit for your family; we can schedule our first session. On our first session I will observe and assess where your child's areas to grow are. Informal and/or formal assessment will be used.
How do you take payment?
Below are the current options to pay for services.
- Private insurance
- Fee for service
- FSCD Contracts *(Evaluated on a case by case situation)
Fee must be settled immediately after the completion of session.
Do you work with Speech-Language Pathologists?
Yes, we love to collaborate with other team members! If you would like us to consult together to better support your child; please sign our consent form with the SLP's information.
Which areas do you service?
I mostly services the west, central and south sides of Calgary, Cochrane, Redwood Meadows and Bragg Creek.
If you are outside of these areas you can always reach out, perhaps I will be able to make it work!
Do you need an assessment to get services?
No, you do not need to come to us with an assessment report. It is important however that we do complete an assessment to evaluate where your child's skills currently are. This will allow us to measure the gains that she/he makes. The assessment will vary based on the areas of need.
Do you bill directly to insurance?
No. At this point we cannot bill directly to insurance companies. Hopefully this is something that can be set up in the future!
